On this section of the trail you can see the Spyckersee and Mittelsee. Both lakes belong to the nature reserve of the same name and show a charming section of the North Rügen Bodden landscape. A real eye-catcher.

A wooden shelter, which stands directly at the connection across both lakes, offers you shade and protection from the rain. You also have a great panorama from here.

A former railway embankment, which led from Lietzow to Glowe and was built in connection with the construction project Rügenhafen in the 50s, leads us dry feet between the middle lake and Spykersee. At the outlet of the Spykersee in the middle lake is a small bridge with benches and offers the possibility for relaxed nature observation. In autumn, you can see cranes looking for their beds in the lake and at the Spykersee there should be a sea eagle nest. The path is also very popular with wild boars :-)

The website glowe-marinekanal.de provides a lot of information about the planned breakthrough of a canal between the Jasmunder soil and the Baltic Sea at Glowe. In 1953, the construction work started again.
