The Allersee is the recreational area in the city. Located between the districts of Stadtmitte and Teichbreite, Tiergartenbreite, it invites you to relax, and there are many sports facilities on the edge of the lake as well as many opportunities for activity or simply taking a quiet walk around it and enjoying nature.

Cycling, inline skating, hiking or just relaxing on one of the benches - everything is possible

The Allersee in the middle of the city of Wolfsburg is fantastic.

A planetary trail is an educational path where a scaled-down model of the solar system is created along the hiking route. The planets and the sun are usually set up or shown on boards along the route, true to scale in size and distance. On the frequently used "planetary scale" of 1:1 billion (the sun has a diameter of 1.4 m, the earth 13 mm), the outermost planet Neptune is just under 4.5 kilometers from the sun. If the dwarf planet Pluto, which was considered a full-fledged planet until 2006, is also included, the planetary trail stretches for almost 6 kilometers. The nearest star would then be over 40,000 km away, which is the same as the circumference of the earth. There are usually information boards about the sun and planets with data on size, composition and orbit. The planets themselves are represented in various ways: as spheres made of metal, stone, wood or glass, as discs, hollows or reliefs, often as photos on display boards, supplemented by a small circle

At some points on the circular path around the Allersee there are models of the sun ☀️ and planets 🪐 of our solar system. The planets 🌍 are set up true to scale to the sun ☀️. Here you can perhaps imagine the dimensions. The information board gives detailed information about the solar system. It is very interesting!🧐

Volkswagen Arena The Volkswagen Arena is the football stadium of the men's Bundesliga team VfL Wolfsburg. It opened in autumn 2002 and has space for around 30,000 spectators. Construction took 18 months and cost 53 million euros. The first game in the Volkswagen Arena was played between VfL Wolfsburg and VfB Stuttgart. The club wanted to use the Volkswagen Arena to strengthen its international ambitions, particularly with regard to the Champions League. The Volkswagen Arena also offers event rooms for congresses, meetings and private parties.
