The water sports club, specializing in sailing, is one of the largest training clubs in Lower Saxony. Courses offered include the recreational boating license for inland waterways up to the coastal skipper's license.

There are a lot of things you can do here. Hiking, cycling, boat trips and swimming. All in all, a very beautifully landscaped lake.

On one side the bridge has a chain as a handrail, which also serves as a rope for love locks.

Founding of the Braunschweig Sailing Club on February 28th, 1968 in the "Haus zur Hanse" by 7 founding members. The club becomes a member of the city and state sports association as well as the DSV. The bridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the Fuhse in the green areas south of the South Seas will be replaced by a new building. As a preparatory measure, three poplars and one alder must be felled in the days before the breeding and planting season. The new building is necessary due to extensive damage to the wooden structure. From mid-April to probably mid-June, the demolition of the old bridge, the foundation and concrete work and the erection of the wooden superstructure will be carried out.
