Opened again in May 2025 after the path was closed in 2018. Pioneers from the Lettow-Vorbeck Barracks built the so-called Soldiers' Bridge in the 1970s. Soldiers used the bridge as a shortcut on their way to the southern part of the city. Today, the bridge is part of the Mönchsweg long-distance hiking trail.

No more cake: Landcafé Mözen has closed This is what it's about: Drinking coffee with homemade cake - that's what the café in Mözen was known for. This is what happened: But after the winter break, the oven will remain cold. Homemade cakes and sheet cakes will no longer be available, at least not for sale in the café. It was nice: As the operator announced on their own homepage, the café will apparently remain closed permanently. (KN 12.02.2025) https://www.landcafe-moezen.de/

Very nice, free, unguarded bathing area with toilets, tables and benches. Ideal for a refreshment break during the tour and also good for a rest. The access road is a bit hidden and is not signposted; but this was probably done deliberately so that it remains nice and quiet there.

Since 1876, the site of today's youth hostel (Konrad-Adenauer-Ring 2) in Bad Oldesloe has been a bathing area. In 1891, wooden changing rooms were built. In 1914, the old river bathing establishment was built. It is now a listed building. In 1936, after the Trave was regulated, it was rebuilt. To the left of the small bathhouse, the current entrance building of the youth hostel was built. A very nice, well-maintained bathing area with picnic benches and tables, a large lawn, a well-maintained toilet block, and bicycle parking. It's not signposted from the road! The bathing water quality is good.

From this place we look out over the "Stiftungsland Mittlere Trave". This was created from former arable and pasture land that is now only extensively cultivated and is now a refuge for rare animal and plant species. Here on the Trave near Sühlen, there are still buildings from the "Zettlersche Mühle", which used water power as a grain mill. Pasta was also produced here for a time. Previously, there was a copper mill on this site, which gave this residential area its name. In 2016, there were plans for a short time to use water power to drive an electricity generator. However, the trial operation was soon discontinued.
