정면에서 보면 교회는 요새처럼 보입니다. 인구 밀도가 낮은 이 지역에 이 교회는 - 다른 많은 교회들처럼 - 마을에 비해 너무 큽니다.

At 587 meters, the Valtenberg is the highest mountain in the Lusatian Mountains. The proud tower alone is worth a visit. An event operator was recruited for the restaurant in 2025 – who may also continue to run the mountain lodge as a tenant.

At 527 metres, the Hoher Hahn is an ideal mountain bike destination for anyone who wants to try out challenging climbs and fast descents. From there, varied routes lead through the surrounding forests.

It dates from the 18th century and was rebuilt after a fire in 1790. It is a single-nave, rectangular building with a semicircular gable and a tower above the façade. The church has a two-story gallery that includes a large choir for two orchestras and a choir.

(Update 24/04) On the German side, the last terrible meters before the border have been given a new surface and are now even easier to roll into the Czech Republic. Be careful at the border: narrow passage and sometimes lots of (standing) hikers/cyclists. On the Czech side there is a wonderful path on a strip of asphalt about 2 m wide. It looks like a bike path, but it is a road for cars and motorcycles. So be careful on the bends. The scenery is beautiful on both sides of the border.
