The present chapel was built between 1610 and 1618. A painting in the chapel depicts the ceremonial consecration of the chapel in 1618, with the transfer of the relics of St. Gallus and St. Einbeth. The building itself is less important from an artistic perspective than the furnishings with paintings by the well-known Lucerne painter Caspar Meglinger, creator of the paintings of the Lucerne Spreuer Bridge.
