Glückstadt is highly recommended for a short break. There are fantastic hiking and cycling opportunities here. The town itself is beautiful and offers many attractions. The harbor area boasts a lively nightlife scene with a great view of the waterfront.

I passed by there on my tour: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2450927699 The paved paths are good for cycling. Sometimes water seeps from the dike and flows across the path. On one cold day, the water froze, and I had to carefully ride across, dismount once, and push my bike.

I passed by this place on my tour: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2450927699 I'm adding two pictures of the linden tree avenue. ...

Quiet corner.

A wonderful place to linger by the harbor. Great food and very well-designed seating, as well as the floral decorations and surrounding fairy lights. A wonderful sight to behold and highly recommended.

Been here for a long time👍

If you want to avoid the main roads between Elmshorn and Glückstadt, this is the perfect place. The roads are in good condition (as of May 25). The route is ideal for solo riders and small groups (max. 6). Larger groups may find it difficult to navigate, as the road is narrow and there are few options for avoiding oncoming traffic.
