beautiful, at the Aeschisee

Nature reserve, hiking trail around the Äschisee, with the option of renting a rowing boat!

The Burgäschisee, sometimes also simply Aeschisee, lies on the canton border of the cantons of Bern and Solothurn, with around two thirds on the Solothurn canton area. The lake is located in the municipalities of Aeschi (SO) and Seeberg (BE) at an altitude of 465 meters above sea level. The lake is fed by the Füürstein Canal, while the Seebach flows out. The natural lake is almost 700m long and 500m wide and is surrounded by a forest and reeds. The lake is located in a nature reserve.

Steinhof with its boulders, which were transported here by the Rhone glacier in the ice age. The Steinhof, the village, is a Solothurn enclave in the canton of Bern.

Small lake with lido and other swimming opportunities. You can walk or ride around on foot or by mountain bike. A well-known restaurant, the "Gasthaus Seeblick am Burgäschisee" is highly recommended!

At the bottom, at the bathing bay in the dark oak forest, is a place of energy full of energy.

Beautiful lake and a close detour to the Steinhof are worthwhile. It has a very large erratic block.

At the Burgäschisee is for dog owners and their 4-Beiner Leinenobligatorium. A pity, because bathing makes the dogs happy.
