Waldenburg Castle. Information: Built in the Historicist style, incorporating medieval architectural elements. It dates back to a castle built in the 12th century, presumably between 1165 and 1172.

St. Michael's Church in Frohburg. Information: A prominent, three-aisled Gothic hall church. The chancel was built in 1425, the nave in 1475. The tower was altered in the 17th century. Restoration and Neo-Gothic furnishings were added in 1877.

Here the two largest rivers of the Vogtland region merge.

The Dragon's Tail Bridge in Ronneburg, Thuringia, will be closed for extensive renovation work starting Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The Gessental cycle path beneath the bridge will remain open and will be protected by scaffolding. Construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2025. This road takes you along a well-paved road over the ridge and through the forest. If you're carrying the momentum downhill, you'll need to be careful at the junction, as it changes to firm, light gravel for about 300m. After that, there's a barrier. At the next village entrance, there's a constant layer of gravel. In the village of Lange, you can easily bypass the construction site on the left.

Extensive redesign and renovation work has been carried out at the Papiermühlenwehr barbecue and rest area. The idyllic location directly on the Sprotte River is a popular rest stop for many hikers and cyclists. The barbecue grill, which was deliberately destroyed a few years ago, has been replaced with a new outdoor grill, and a bicycle parking facility has been built. Let's hope the area doesn't fall victim to vandalism again.
