The Chevril Dam lake, or Tignes, is decorated with a very pretty statue by the Italian artist Livio Benedetti, named "The Lady of the Lake". The sculpture is located between the banks and the road, therefore easily accessible to be admired. Another work of art is located on the dam itself and therefore more difficult to see. It is a gigantic wall fresco representing Hercules who seems to be holding back water by his sole force. It is the highest French dam. It supplies two hydroelectric power stations.
