Čigoč is a small village with just over 100 inhabitants, in the central part of Croatia, in the Lonjsko Polje nature reserve. The village is known as the Stork Village of Croatia and was even the first official Stork Village in Europe. The village has well-preserved old wooden houses built in the traditional way along the entire main street. On the west side of the street there is a Sava bend which provides an important feeding area for the young birds.

The houses are world heritage and the older ones may not be demolished. In case of flooding, lived temporarily on a higher floor.

This object is called Tradicije Čigoč. Very good restaurant, accommodation in rooms and in the camp.

The Čigoč visitor center is located in a revitalized wooden Posavina house. A guide awaits you there, who can give you a range of information about Čigoč and the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park. On the ground floor there is a small traditional carpentry workshop, a souvenir shop and a toilet. Bicycles and canoes can be rented here.
