Culminating at 3,091 meters above sea level, it offers a series of breathtaking panoramas over the Pyrenees and the surrounding lakes. The last meters of the climb are on a scree, stay vigilant to stay on the path.

The milestones reach the block niches installed at the head of the circus, below the Brecha de Chausenque. These catastrophic and desolate-looking places are the result of forceful glacial events and it is easy to imagine what the massif looked like when it was covered by great masses of living ice, when the mountain was baptized “old snow”. The path heads south and completes the ascent to the top. At the end of the season it is possible to find some residual snow before the final climb. The normal entrance to the summit follows a chimney channel on the south face that requires the use of hands but without ice it does not present any difficulty. The summit is small and steep but has great views.

The Oule hut is an unguarded and open hut. Don't expect a palace, the floor is clay, the door closes badly, the fireplace has a weak draft (be careful not to get smoked). Despite that, it will do you great favors by protecting you from the rain and a bit of the wind. There are also streams and woods nearby. That is the demand of the people !

The lake of Coste Ouiellère is well guarded since it is surrounded by overhanging many natural lakes, among the most beautiful of the reserve. If sheep are regularly found around the laquer, look no further than the name for the reason. In Occitan, coste means "slope" and oueilhèro means "sheep or ewe". Which therefore seems to make it a lake with sloping edges, ideal for mountain pastures.

The Aumar pass is a so-called hiking pass since it is only accessible for hiking. From its height of 2,374 meters, it opens wide the doors of the Port Bielh Bastan valley. You then enter the heart of the Néouvielle reserve, wilder and less frequented.
