A roughly circular collapse in the Bunter Sandstone Mountains with a diameter of approximately 80 meters.

The life-size bronze figure depicts a Kathus poacher returning from the Seulingswald forest with a roebuck in his backpack and his rifle under his coat, making sure once again that he is not being pursued. He will hide the roebuck in the shaft of his secret well until the danger of discovery has passed. Poachers lived dangerous lives, receiving prison and forced labor. In 1613, the Hessian Landgrave even ordered the death penalty by hanging for "poaching" in the Seulingswald forest. Torture also frequently led to the death of a poacher. A very nice spot on the otherwise not so exciting Luther Trail.

The lake is approximately 1.3 hectares in size. The area surrounding Malchusteich is ideal for walks, bike rides, and enjoying nature. Also nearby is the Malchustal nature reserve, known for its beautiful forests.

Sturdy shoes and good physical condition are required. There are lots of uphill and downhill sections. Beautiful circular tour through the forest. If you walk quickly, it will take a good 2 hours, if you walk at a leisurely pace, it will take 3 - 3.5 hours.
