At the Jordanbad (St. Elisabeth Foundation), people can escape from everyday life and find themselves. A break right on your doorstep clears your head and promotes inner balance. The name of the well-known and already holistic therapist, Pastor Sebastian Kneipp (1821–1897), is closely linked to the long and exciting history of the Jordanbad. Today, the Jordanbad, with its six pillars of offerings: thermal spa, park hotel, wellness, therapy and fitness center, PraxisAktiv, residential park for seniors, and Sinn-Welt (Sin-World), addresses people's needs with time-honored methods and modern approaches.

The Gigel Tower, built around the 14th century, was rebuilt in 1788 after heavy shelling during the Thirty Years' War. It is a typical observation tower, from whose balustrade the "Gigelesmann" (Gigel's Man) watched for fires and also rang the storm bell when enemies approached or during storms. The Schillerhöhe is a lookout point under an old linden tree not far from the Gigel Tower. This idyllic spot invites you to linger and, in good weather, offers a sweeping view over the rooftops of Biberach. The Gigelberg Hall, a wooden structure dating from 1895, and the Old Town Beer Hall are part of the park area laid out in 1828 on the initiative of Friedrich Goll. During the Biberach Marksmen's Festival in July, locals and visitors make a pilgrimage "up the mountain," where the festival grounds and amusement park are located.

The White Tower, a striking landmark of Biberach, was completed in 1484 after eight years of construction as a late Gothic brick building. With a height of 41 meters and a diameter of 10 meters, it still dominates the cityscape today. The walls, which are up to 2.80 meters thick and taper towards the top, testify to its original function as a defense and watchtower. As a status symbol of the wealthy imperial city of Biberach, the tower received its characteristic white paint job. It formed the end of the medieval city fortifications, which once included 24 small turrets and four city gates. Together with the Gigelturm, it is one of the last remaining towers of the former city fortifications. As part of the "Historical City Tour", you have the opportunity to climb the White Tower every Saturday afternoon and enjoy the incomparable view of the city. Biberach's City Garden was created in 1977 based on designs by the landscape architects Mien Ruys (1904-1999) from Amsterdam and Jo Hagel from Biberach. In summer, the lower level of the garden transforms into a sea of flowers. Among the flowers, shrubs, and a small pond, one can relax on one of the many seating areas. Located slightly higher up and carved into the mountain is the City Garden Rondell, where concerts are held during the summer holidays. The White Tower overlooks the City Garden. Several paths lead up to Gigelberg, past the White Tower and Gigelturm, and over the Hirschgraben.

The municipality of Mettenberg includes the two districts of Hochstetterhof and Königshofen. On August 25, 1299, Johann, known as Griffo, donated ownership of this land to Biberach Hospital, and in the same year, Hochstetterhof was first mentioned. In a Biberach Hospital document from 1536, the village appears under the name "Hofstetten." When the current name "Hochstetterhof" was introduced is unknown, and its meaning can only be speculated. Due to its remote location, there is a small firefighting pond on the site, which still serves as fire protection today. The old bakehouse in the middle of the hamlet bears witness to the time when every farm baked its own bread. Today, one of the buildings houses a farm shop selling organic products. About one kilometer north of here, you can see Königshofen. The stately farm was founded as a "Maiereigut" (a farmstead) by Baron von Koenig Warthausen around 1830. Königshofen is still privately owned today.
