The core of the church dates back to the second half of the 13th century. It is a fieldstone church with a nave and a recessed rectangular chancel to the east. During a comprehensive renovation in 1860, the western square brick tower and the gables with their stepped gables were added. The chancel also received a rose window. In 2003, the severely endangered structure was secured. The neo-Gothic interior furnishings also date from 1860. These include an organ built in 1823 by Johann Simon Buchholz for the village church of Seelübbe and donated to the Weselitz parish in 1902. At the southeast corner of the nave, in the third row from the bottom, is a granite stone with a checkerboard pattern.

Anna Karbe was born on May 4, 1852, in the manor house in Gramzow/Uckermark and was a Brandenburg songwriter and regional poet. She was the daughter of Hermann Karbe, Royal Prussian councilor and tenant farmer in Gramzow/Uckermark, and his first wife, Mathilde Hengstenberg.
