Nestled in the countryside, the Heimathütte am Gerichts (local home hut) was built with great idealism and dedication by the Züsch Local History Association. Four-legged friends aren't left out either at the Dollberg spring: A dedicated water dispenser ensures dogs can drink fresh water along the way. This makes the hiking break a welcome refreshment for them, too. Tip: Perfect for anyone hiking with a dog – plan a drink break! 🥤🐶

The Nonnweiler Dam is the largest drinking water reservoir in Saarland and supplies the entire region with fresh water. The reservoir was created in the 1970s and is idyllically nestled in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. The information board provides fascinating details about water management, construction methods, and the dam's dimensions. With a water surface area of almost 100 hectares and a capacity of almost 20 million cubic meters, the dam is not only a technical masterpiece but also a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. 🌿 Tip: A 12 km (or 18 km) circular trail leads around the reservoir – ideal for a long hike with expansive views over the water. 🚶‍♂️🌊

In the middle of the forest, these stone remains commemorate the first church of the Züscher Schmelze (Züscher Smelter). Nestled in the middle of the forest, not far from the Züscher Hammer, lies this beautiful old stone bridge. It spans the small Dhron River and is a relic of times past. In some places, the trail also goes cross-country—so wear sturdy shoes and bring a sense of adventure.

Directly along the trail is Züsch's newly created multi-generational square. Thanks to funding projects, a modern playground, recreational areas, and shady seating areas have been created here.
