Starting point of the Kluckertspfad detour. There's also a hiking parking lot just below, which we weren't aware of. So we hiked up from the village.

Remains of a Roman villa rustica. Discovered by chance. The information panel shows the entire floor plan; most of it was filled in after exploration to preserve it.

The remains of this Roman villa were excavated by the Trier State Museum in 1976. It was probably the home of a farmer or winemaker. Interestingly, a statue of the Celtic god Sucellus was found here, although unlike the usual Celts, it was depicted with grapes.
