Very beautiful but often dirty

The fountain depicts the papermakers in Zülpich around 1798.

This chapel was built in 1454 on the Gasthausberg hill in Zülpich. It was attached to a hospital first mentioned in 1350. The church is made of sandstone.

The gate was built in the 14th century after Archbishop Frederick III of Cologne ordered the city fortifications. The gate was severely damaged during World War II and restored in the 1950s and 1970s.

In 1931, during civil engineering work in Zülpich, it was discovered that the ancient city had long possessed what the modern city was just beginning to establish: a sewage system. This system belonged to a well-preserved Roman thermal bath complex, hidden beneath the museum forecourt. A protective structure erected at the time had been considered in danger of collapsing since the late 1990s. Demolition and reconstruction made it possible to establish a "Museum of Bathing Culture" with the thermal baths as its centerpiece. It opened in 2008. St. Peter Kirche in Zülpich is a historic Roman Catholic church first mentioned in 848. The church, rebuilt after being destroyed in World War II, features notable Antwerp altarpieces and a beautiful Romanesque crypt.
