A very beautiful hiking trail with various orchid species. The name "Dead Valleys" comes from the fact that no river flows through it. This year, a particularly large number of orchids are blooming here in May. Nature still seems to be in good shape on the dry grassland meadows. A lot of maintenance work has been done, but more can always be done.

Here, the Steinbrecherweg (Steinbrecher Trail) intersects with the Flemminweg (Old Lore Trail). The Luther Trail runs along this path. There are two beautiful viewpoints of Neuenburg Castle.

The Koniks make the shell limestone plateau, which is already worth seeing, a highlight. When we were here in March 2024, we saw 12 ponies that were anything but shy - at the same time, there were more people than horses here that Sunday. Important: the ponies must not be fed!
