The Edelweiss Hut on the Schneeberg (1,235 m) is idyllically located at the end of the toll road and is a popular starting point for hikes. Very friendly hosts, also game dishes (probably always seasonal) which taste excellent, with the dog on the way there and back directly in front of the hut, keep a close eye on the alpine animals, although they are very peaceful.

The Rax Mountain Inn is located right next to the mountain station of the Rax cable car and is a popular starting point for hikes on the Rax Plateau. On the sun terrace, you can enjoy regional specialties while taking in the views of the Vienna Basin and the surrounding peaks. It's an ideal starting point or rest stop before continuing on into the mountains.

The Otto-Haus on the Rax (1,640 m) is one of the most traditional huts in Vienna's local mountains. It offers a cozy stop with regional delicacies and a large sun terrace. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama across the Rax plateau to the peaks of the surrounding Alps—a perfect starting point or rest stop for your tour.
