Kieswäsch Lake is the ideal destination for those seeking relaxation just outside Kulmbach. Surrounded by meadows, the lake offers something for everyone: a level circular path invites you to stroll and hike. Those looking for more exercise will find excellent fitness equipment on a modern course. Large sunbathing lawns and a sandy beach at the lake create a true holiday atmosphere. For refreshments, there's a cozy beer garden right by the water.

The Vogelsberg Lake is the largest lake in the Dietesheim quarries. The hike around the Vogelsberg Lake in the former quarries is an easy and well-walkable route that is suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. The route covers a distance of a good 5 kilometers.

The Dietesheim quarries are a small recreational area in Mühlheim am Main in Hesse. You hike on small paths through shady forest and circle one lake after another. Steep rock faces from the former basalt open-cast mine appear again and again. There are 3 designated routes for hiking (indicated on the sign). You will also meet a lot of cyclists. A little tip: don't forget mosquito spray.

The Dietesheim quarries are a great local recreation area. It is very interesting at any time of year.
