The community of Büren an der Aare is located on the banks of the Aare, between Biel and Solothurn. The place with the old town and the wooden bridge blends gently into the landscape. Büren a.A. is described as a gem among Bernese country towns because only a few medieval settlements have been able to preserve their historical face so tightly over the centuries.
