Egan Chutes 자체는 York 강이 좁고 V자 모양의 바위 협곡을 통과하며 형성된 강력한 급류를 특징으로 합니다. 이 급류는 자작나무와 모래 강변 평지로 둘러싸여 있으며, 이 전망대에 접근할 때 콸콸 흐르는 물소리를 들을 수 있습니다.

West Egan Chutes Trail은 숲을 통과하는 오래된 산림 접근 도로와 ATV 트랙을 따라가는 짧은 왕복 코스입니다. 노출된 나무 뿌리와 바위를 조심하고, 공식적인 트레일 표시나 안전 난간이 없어 가파른 절벽 근처에서 하이커들이 주의를 기울여야 하므로 오프라인 내비게이션을 준비하십시오.

이 지점에서 트레일은 덜 뚜렷해지고 오른쪽으로 갈라지는 여러 임도가 있습니다. 일반적으로 왼쪽으로 이동하여 강을 따라가면 강둑으로 이어지는 오솔길과 Farm Chute의 전망을 찾을 수 있으며, 여기서 트레일헤드로 돌아가기 전에 탐험할 수 있습니다.

Roads are very sandy so your progress will be slow and painful. It's better to push then fall and hurt yourself.

These parts of the Highlands are unique opportunity to experience nature at it's best. Wild life spotting is great. If you zoom in one of the pictures, you will see beaver swimming right infront of me. There are no villages, stores or people anywhere around. Be prepared to be self-sufficient for day or two. Stock on food before entering. Water is in abundance around you, use your filtration system to purify it. At the end of the segment is perfect camping spot on Sleeper Lake. Enjoy and respect

This stretch of historical Old Hastings Road is real jem. A bit on hilly side but nothing too crazy. Nature is beautiful and traffic is low so you can enjoy if fully. Old store in Ormsby has some really interesting stuff. Choice of food is limited to chocolate, fudge and tarts. Enjoy and respect
