팔그레이브 숲과 야생 동물 지역은 보호된 숲, 습지, 작은 호수로 이루어져 있습니다. 이곳의 완만한 언덕은 약 12,000년 전 후퇴하는 빙하에 의해 형성되었습니다. 오늘날 언덕은 소나무, 삼나무, 가문비나무 숲으로 덮여 있어 하이커와 산악자전거 이용자들에게 많은 그늘을 제공합니다.

This is just a short bridge over the East Humber River, but it gives you a nice view across the water.

Incredible peace of protected land that over time regenerated in to the beautiful mature forest with maze of hiking and biking trails. Trails range from easy to double diamond. On mountain biking website, trailforks.com, there is detailed map with names and directions but on the actual terrain there are no markings or direction restrictions. Be very aware of the incoming bikers and hikers. Interesting fact is that you will run in to the sand tracks very hard to ride. Those are sediments of the long gone glacier lakes and rivers. Amazing geology. Enjoy and respect.

East side of the Wilcox Lake, along the Bayview Avenue, is transformed in to the family retreat centre. Splash works, skateboard park, canoe and kayak rental, board walk, picnic tables and plenty of parking. Washrooms are available. Near by community centre offers indoor pool and recreation facilities. Enjoy and respect.

This highlight is also helpful as the north endpoint of Caledon Trailway including the New Tecumseth extension

South Simcoe Railway is the grate place to experience the past of the once big railway system. Board the train and you will be transferred to the 1900. First passenger train in Canada started in 1853 and this one operated until late 1960. Most of this old railroad system was transferred in to the recreation trails but in 1995 South Simcoe railway opened this section for people to enjoy the forgotten beauty of slow travel by train. All coaches and engines are authentic, restored to the original beauty. Local musicians play music from those times, which makes whole experience more magical.
