Starting from the famous Vuisse hill which climbs up to Montorge or up to Chandolin for the most motivated.

From the plain near Goday, after the long climb from the direction of Conthey, you can continue up towards the mountain peaks in four directions. One of these paths leads to Lac de Derborence. A beautiful mountain lake, which, especially in autumn, together with the snow-covered peaks and the golden larches, creates an absolutely impressive picture. Tables and benches at Lac de Derborence invite you to linger. You can enjoy a delicious meal at the Refuge du Lac Derborence. There is a large car park just a few minutes' walk from the lake. Of the four dead-end roads mentioned, this is definitely the most visited.

This road kept reminding me of the legendary Gorges in Provence. The climb, with the tunnels and the impressive view into the gorge, is in no way inferior to Provence. Don't forget your front and rear lights. Some of the tunnels are long.
