회른리휘테(3.260m)는 마테호른에서 가장 유명한 산장이며 회른리 능선을 통한 대부분의 등반의 출발점입니다. 등산객에게는 인상적인 접근로의 종착점이자 알프스에서 가장 멋진 전망대 중 하나입니다. 광범위한 개조 후, 이 산장은 현대적인 편안함과 알파인 산장의 특징을 결합합니다. 잘 관리된 다인실, 온수 샤워기, 친절한 산장 팀이 힘든 등반 후 쾌적한 휴식을 제공합니다. 식당에서는 푸짐한 발레 요리가 제공됩니다. 긴 하이킹 후 완벽한 식사입니다. 특히 빙하 세계와 몬테 로사 그룹의 4,000미터 봉우리들을 조망할 수 있는 넓은 일광욕 테라스가 인상적입니다. 저녁에 로프 팀이 야간 등반을 위해 장비를 준비하고 새벽 4시경 첫 헤드램프가 회른리 능선을 향해 출발할 때, 회른리휘테가 많은 산악인들에게 왜 특별한 장소인지 느껴집니다.

A suspension bridge over a gorge is always something special. This one is 100 meters long and hangs at a height of 90 meters. I'm not afraid of heights myself, so I was glad to be alone on the rather wobbly bridge.

It is one of the many highlights in Zermatt: the Furi suspension bridge over the Gorner Gorge. Built in 2011, the bridge is 100 meters long and 90 meters high in the middle of the fantastically beautiful mountains. You can use the bridge with your bike, but watch out for other people who might be coming towards you.

Great place to enjoy some lovely food/beverages with magnificent and iconic views. The route leading up to the Hörnlihütte can be challenging if it is icy, so be prepared with the right equipment in any case.

A large, traditional mountain hut above the legendary town of Arolla. This hideaway offers food, drinks and accommodation, all in a superb location. From the refuge you can have incredible views of the mountains and valley around Arolla, and in good weather you can see the mighty Dent Blanche, as well as the distant Weisshorn, among many others. The drive to the refuge is indicative of its alpine environment, with technical driving on rocky alpine trails, which may be a challenge for some. Make sure you ride within your limits and be ready for the challenge, it's a pretty engaging environment up there. If you wish to stay at the refuge, it is recommended to book in advance, as these refuges can get very busy during peak season.
