Great view of the Riedgletscher and the Nadelgrat, a cozy hut and an incredibly friendly hut team! The hut access was renovated in 2023 and is now marked in red and white and no longer leads over the glacier.

Well located hut to continue either to the Cabane de Tracuit or to the Barrhorn.

There are 2 ascents, a longer one (steinmannliweg) and the direct one. Both are good to do.

I can't say why only this short part of the ascent was marked, in any case these are the last meters to the Turtmannhütte
