A Neckar loop that was pinched off about 600,000 years ago formed the Schollerbuckel. Like the Ottohöhe and the Ohrsberg, it was one of the hills surrounding the Neckar. The Schollerbuckel is part of an old cultural landscape. Even vines made from Müller-Thurgau grapes were grown on the hill's vineyard and wine was made from them.

Nice rest area with barbecue facilities and a wonderful view over the Neckar valley. An information board with a peephole provides information about the history of the Neckar after the Ice Age and the course of the river at that time.

Unfortunately closed - although I suspect that you wouldn't really see much more from the top of the tower - the forest is probably too high by now. Possibly as a tower for the glider airfield ;-)
