A very nice border village to relax in after a bike ride (from Geneva in our case). We spent the afternoon and a night camping near the lake. Shops nearby for supplies 👍

Bucolic walk along a river with celadon water. Perfect for a family, with a little girl of 3.5 years old for whom it was the first walk. We are never far from civilization (railway, highway nearby), and yet we immediately escape into this natural setting.

It is a typical Jura village. It benefits from a lot of sporting and cultural activities. It is the starting point for many hikes. It is located on the route of the Grande Traversée du Jura or GTJ (https://www.gtj.asso.fr/). To be discovered in all seasons, whether on foot, by bike, by mountain bike, by snowshoes or by ski.

This is one of my favourite destinations for mountain biking (leave the bike on the side before the ultimate ascent), hiking and trail running in the Jura above Nyon. Enjoy not having the crowds like on La Dôle and similarly beautiful views.

At 1,557 meters above sea level, the pass separates two great peaks of the Vaudois Jura: La Dôle and Pointe de Poêle Chaud. It also allows you to switch to France or Switzerland depending on which side you come from. The views of the high combes on the French side and the steep slopes on the Swiss side are magnificent. The vertiginous sensation provided by the inclination of the mountain sublimates the landscape.

This hiking pass makes its way, at an altitude of 1,557 meters, between the summit of Pointe de Poêle Chaud and the summit of La Dôle. It is a border pass which takes you from the high valleys and mountain pastures of the French Jura towards the slopes of Lake Geneva. And with a view of Mont Blanc, no less!
