The parish church is a remarkable church for this small town. Originally probably late Gothic in the 15th century, the church has undergone alterations throughout the centuries. The most significant change to the interior was the Rococo period. A stop on your cycling or hiking tour is definitely recommended. A beautiful spot in the forest where you can also observe dragonflies. It's a shame that the peace was disturbed by a group of drummers, making it uninviting to linger.

The small chapel is a small plastered building with a gable roof and a polygonal finish, it was rebuilt in 1981/82. The original chapel from 1895 was completely destroyed by a falling tree. With a bench next to it, it is a nice resting place.

A boundary stone from 1683. On one side you can see the mold of the former county of Haag, on the other side the Mohr of the Diocese of Freising.

According to the inscription above the entrance: "built by the brewer couple Nikolaus and Maria Holzlechner in 1925". Unfortunately closed and has probably seen better days, as glass panes visible from the outside are broken. Too bad.

The new station building at Thann-Matzbach train station went into operation on September 22, 1903. It is a three-storey building with a tiled hipped roof on an area of 18 m × 10 m. In contrast to the older high-rise buildings of the main railway, which were executed in exposed brick, the building was plastered; the facades were divided by structural plaster elements and a cornice. On the first floor there was a lobby with a ticket office, a second and third class waiting room and a service room, and the service apartments for the railway staff on the two upper floors. On the track side it was provided with a platform canopy designed as a monopitch roof and a wooden extension for the signal box on the northwest corner. [5] [19] With the establishment of a new signal box, the reception building received a new canopy and a bricked signal box front in 1958. [20] In July 1985, the Deutsche Bundesbahn replaced the structural plaster elements on the facades with smooth exterior plaster. [21] In 2005, Deutsche Bahn closed the ticket office in the building. [22] In 2014 the reception building was sold to a community of architects and converted into a refugee home in 2015. [23] [24] The interlocking front will continue to be used by Deutsche Bahn. Information from Wikipedia (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahnhof_Thann-Matzbach) From 1900 to 1991 the station was the separation station on the Thann-Matzbach - Haag line. After the closure, the station is still used today as an intermediate station on the Munich-Simbach line.
