A beautiful mountain village with very friendly people. You feel welcome here. The stamping station makes for a lovely photo opportunity.

Opened in summer 2025, the trail starts at 2,429 meters above sea level at the Furka Pass – one of the highest paved Alpine passes in Switzerland – and descends approximately 12 kilometers with 1,060 meters of vertical drop to Oberwald in the Goms region. The Furka Pass can be reached by post bus from Realp or Oberwald. Mountain bikers can expect a combination of alpine trails, military and forest roads, with moderately technical sections. Views of the Rohne Glacier, the Grimsel Pass, and the Goms high valley provide a diverse and photogenic backdrop. (ride)

Beautiful, flowing blue trail. Every now and then there are jumps for advanced riders. They are marked with signs and you can go around them.

The bike park in Bellwald is great but the Stoneman has really cool trails to offer.

Village in the style of Upper Valais with a beautiful view towards Central Valais

While the lower part of the village exudes the charm of the Valais, the upper part of the village is spoiled by the tourist infrastructure and seems deserted outside of the (winter) season.

Bellwald is a municipality and a civil parish in the Goms district in the Swiss canton of Valais. It also forms a parish of the Deanery of Ernen.
