The pilgrimage chapel Maria im Stein in the Aachtobel is a small, well-known pilgrimage chapel in a gorge landscape near Lake Constance.

What makes this place special is that the chapel is nestled directly into a rock niche on the steep slope of the gorge. The altar sits beneath a rock overhang, with small caves and rocks above. Benches for pilgrims and hikers and a small confessional nearby give the place the feel of a natural sanctuary rather than a traditional church.

A pilgrimage site for Christians to this day. Very beautiful, thought-provoking.

Absolutely beautiful natural paradise for the various fish and also the bird island is worth a visit. Bringing binoculars is recommended. There are beautiful paths around the lakes for hiking or cycling.

From the tower's observation deck, you have a magnificent 360° view of the reed bed. The tower features numerous wooden statues of local animals. There's also a small room with information panels at the bottom right of the tower base.
