The Schnaakenmoor nature reserve is located in the Klövensteen forest district on the western edge of Hamburg in the district of Rissen. The nature reserve also includes areas of the Groten Moor, the Spitzerdorfer Moorflagen and the area between Klövensteenweg, Babenwischweg and Feldweg 83. (Source: Wikipedia)

I'm there several times a week and can always look forward to this beautiful hiking, riding and cycling area. Meadows, fields, the moor and the forest alternate, there is something for everyone depending on their mood. Just great.

For the Hamburg area it is indeed an impressive boulder. The adjacent path is very crowded on weekends

You can relax here in summer. Water lilies are blooming on the pond and the frogs are croaking. A pavilion stands on the edge and invites you to take a break. In winter the frozen pond is good for ice skating.

The Butterbargsmoor nature reserve is a habitat for rare plants and animals. A very beautiful moor with a lake. You can relax wonderfully here.

On one side of the way you can see the Holmer Sandberge, the largest inland dune area in Schleswig-Holstein, and on the other side a beautiful lake, which only turns out to be a fire-fighting pond on closer inspection. It's the perfect place for a little break. You will find cozy places everywhere to linger or for a small picnic.
