A visit to the Ilian Stairs is worth it, but be careful, it can be quite slippery. The easily recognizable wagon tracks are very interesting.

Always a MTB highlight in the Göttingen forest, easy to drive and "flowy" in many passages, when it is wet and in autumn/winter some root passages can be slippery.

Beautiful trail along the shell limestone ridge that you can easily integrate into a trail round in the city forest or to the east to the Hengstberg.

Currently (6/2022) hardly passable at the upper entrance. But it can be conquered with an (e)MTB.
