The hiking trail is very adventurous, if you dare to do it please be careful. There are a lot of trees on the route. You have to crawl over or under the trees. It is not suitable for everyone. This section should actually be closed for safety reasons.

Impressive rock formations. Challenging hiking trail over and under tree trunks. Great rest area with benches and fire pit and shelter with stamping station.

The Meurasteine are a three-tiered wall on a rocky ridge and extend a little into the Schlagetal. The jagged rocky section is a good 500 million years old and consists of quartzite. You can do a little scrambling here, over steps hewn into the rock. A shelter also "floats" there.

A cozy, idyllic spot in the middle of the forest. Ideal for relaxing. Even a beaver has left its traces here.

What a beautiful bike path there. A treat and one should do it.

I could rave about this mountain lake (pond). Simply beautiful, with natural lawns and swimming areas. Please people take your garbage back with you so that it stays as nice as it is.

One of the most beautiful viewpoints at the Leibis-Lichte Dam! A wooden shelter adorns the mountain & gives your photo subject a special flair. With a bit of luck, you will have this place to yourself, which, however, rarely happens. Please take a seat and enjoy the breathtaking view of the blue water and lush green of the surrounding forests. This is what Thuringia looks like!

These rock formations are truly unique to our area. They jut out from the Schlagethal like a wall and attract numerous visitors. You have two options to discover this highlight: For the jocks: You start at the Meurasteinbrückchen at the foot of the mountain and walk steeply up a narrow mountain path to the rocks. For the relaxed: Your path leads you from Meura in the direction of Schlagethal, past a stone bench. This path is not too steep and you reach your destination quickly. This highlight for leaf coloring in autumn is particularly worth seeing. You can enjoy the fantastic view of colorful tree tops and let your soul dangle.
