The waterfall is definitely a highlight. The access road is well made and easy to walk on. A bit of fitness is of course necessary.

The circular route around the waterfall, past the bridge "Am Felsen" is worthwhile. easy to do, but not barrier-free.

The Belchen is not the highest mountain, but it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Black Forest, because it offers visitors a fantastic panoramic view of the Rhine Valley, the Vosges and, in good weather, even as far as the Alps. Those who come from above on foot do not have to pay an entrance fee. Other visitors who came from below by car and parked had to pay EUR 2 - but thought that was an entrance fee, not a parking fee. Better to ask the tourist information beforehand, they know their way around.
