This location marks the center point of Thuringia. Its precise location was determined using modern surveying techniques, taking into account the state's borders (approximately 50,000 boundary points). The memorial stone was unveiled on August 17, 2008.

Beautiful little section of the cycle path along the limestone cliffs. You feel a bit like you are in Saxon Switzerland. This makes the short route interesting, varied and a real eye-catcher.

That was my starting point for reaching the center of Germany in Niederdorla.
