The city forest on the Hube, one of many mountain ranges in the Lower Saxony mountains, offers a beautiful natural landscape and is a great destination for hikes and walks through the forest. From the Hube, visitors can hike up the Greener Berg or the Altendorfer Berg, for example. The Kaiser-Friedrich-Turm observation tower is located in the southern part of the Hube between Einbeck and the district of Negenborn. It was inaugurated in 1900, but nowadays it is no longer accessible. The Einbeck Fairy Tale Forest is located on the Hube, a nearly three-kilometer-long circular trail with 15 stations through various forest areas.
