The Alte Dreisam, Dreisamkanal, Elz and Glotter all come together here in a short stretch. Together they flow through the Leopoldskanal towards the Rhine.

You can watch the paragliders take off from the terrace of the new hotel. On a clear day you can see the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges. It is worthwhile to hike a summit tour. The candelabra pyramid is only 15 minutes away. In about three hours you can hike the circular route around the entire massif and have a beautiful view of the Glottertal from the Thomas Hut. We recommend taking a break at the Fensterlewirt at the Gummenhütte. The circular route is well signposted.
