One of our favorite hikes in Ticino! Scenic driveway with the post bus from Magadino. Short climb from the Alpe di Neggia (unfortunately closed), magnificent view from Monte Gambarogno and a beautiful, comfortable descent to Alpe Cedullo (be sure to stop off). Mostly through Buchenwald down to Indemini and with the post bus (note the timetable!) back to Magadino.

Little church with -on the side- a refugio. It's possible to stay the night for a small donation/fee (€5). The refugio has beds and utensils for cooking. Outside is a toilet. In front of the regufio there is fresh water and a fire place.

In the rustic mountain hut Capanna Tamaro on La Manera you can fortify yourself with home cooking, and then set off in another 40 minutes to the summit of Monte Tamaro.
