Despite its 58 m height, the Osterberg hardly stands out from the rest of the landscape. And yet the small elevation is enough to at least get a nice view of the town of Fintel.

A narrow, wooded strip stretches along the Fintau, representing a typical quarry forest. At times it is flooded and muddy. The nature reserve will later be replaced by a fish farm run by the fishing club.
