The Niederwinklinger Moos is also worth protecting, the curlew frolic here, even beavers in broad daylight, as can be seen in the picture. I only saw the very first kingfisher of my life in the wild here in spring 2020 and every winter you can see a deer meeting here, with definitely 50-80 deer. In Niederwinklinger Dorfgraben, over which our cycle path bridge also spans, there are wild ducks, herons and of course, as you can see in the picture, lots of storks, which is certainly not an everyday occurrence in Germany! You can also see from time to time that the beaver likes to swim here, by the way, the picture is of the small tributary! In the evening you can often see small wild hares on the edge of Niederwinklinger Dorfgraben and very small wild ducks are obligatory here in spring. Birds of prey of all kinds can be seen practically every day. Every now and then you can see pairs of gray geese and swans in packs! So keep your eyes open, it could be worth it!
