From the Sachsenforst near Bonnewitz to the Pillnitz vineyards, another pleasure trail runs along the mountain below the popular hunting trail. At first it is nice and shallow and meanders again and again into small depressions that are crossed by a stream. Get some momentum and over there it goes up again. Later, at the height of the view over Graupa, the path becomes rougher and the rocks emerge. But you get into the flow really well and almost don't want to stop at the highlights of the Rysselkuppe and the named view. Shortly before the vineyards there is a difficult depression and a very steep, slippery ascent. Then the path glides along the vineyard wall with a wonderful view over Pillnitz and the Elbe valley.

Actually, there are two drops. From the east you land pretty much in the flat - so there's a lot of rumbling. The opposite one - coming from the west - is a little lower and the landing a little more oblique. But both are fun.

It is called "old eight" and can be comfortably driven in both directions.
