Lots of roots - more suitable for mountain bikes

Nice trail, but there are some roots here and there, which is quite a challenge when it's wet.

The great terrain between the Mönchsteich and the Grossensee not only looks great, you can also bike there.

The path is passable. Actually, we always went for a walk here. But it is also fun to ride a gravel or mountain bike here. In certain weather conditions it is not always easy to get through here, as christian427 also says.

In January 2022, the path (coming from Beimoorweg) was impassable from halfway due to mud - it is now also used by horse riders. At a small mini pond it then became impossible to continue the tour. A small stream had dammed up there - it was impossible to pass through here - mud without end and in places up to 20 cm deep. The stream was almost 4 meters wide - so I either had to turn back or go cross-country to the main path. I had chosen the latter... Update: Dry and easy to ride in summer (September 2023)!

It's great to ride an MTB here. Even with a gravel bike, some elements of the trail are possible, while others are easy to fall. So be careful when wet.

Sometimes demanding with the Crosser, but a very nice route.

A stream connects the two bodies of water between Mönchsteich and Großensee. Here you can cycle along and look at the mini golf course. You then come out directly at the bathing beach of the Großensee.
