Small lake that can be easily circumnavigated via a shady forest path.

Unfortunately, many old beeches were felled at the Römerbrunnen in March 2023. Probably in preparation for the seven 250 meter high wind turbines that are to be built here in this beautiful forest. One of them directly at the Römerbrunnen. Madness. The idyll will soon be over, for people and animals.

Very nicely laid out castle park with plenty to see from sculptures to the lake, the castle itself, just enjoy the peace and quiet.

The Roman fountain reminds of the traces of the Roman road and the time of Vicus Nediensis. In the years 1881 and 1883, two Roman votive stones were found in Spechbach's district. The inscriptions document a Roman settlement ("Vicus Nediensis"), which was probably located on a stream known as Nida or Nedia.

The castle park is very nicely laid out. Sculptures by the artist Görtz can be admired there. It is particularly beautiful at Whitsun during the Festival of Lights.
