A small highlight in Rhineland-Palatinate. The almost continuous cycle path is really great.

Visit Döttesfeld

A very attractive route.

Not only the Wiedtal itself is worth a tour. From there you can turn off at several points up to the Westerwaldhöhen and from there you can ski down charming routes with a great view back into the Wiedtal. It's a bit more strenuous, but it's easy to do, especially for e-bikers, and it's almost a must.

The Wiedradweg is really beautiful! Not boring, but partly on forest paths, gravel paths, unfortunately also longer road sections on quiet country roads. The Wied always more or less in view, bridges, tunnels, recommended!

A relatively small waterfall, but very beautiful and idyllic. The water falls/flows down the mountain almost in cascades.

Perfect view of the Wied valley with a few descents or ascent towards Ehlscheid.

Unfortunately, the Wied cycle path does not only lead over cycle paths or the disused railway line, but also a longer section over the roadway of a busy country road. Pity! In September 2021, a section was also closed due to construction work and the diversion was not clearly marked.
