Super new bridge over the Ahr! 🔝👌🏻🙋🏼‍♂️

A few bridges were no longer intact and very shaky. But a nice change from normal paths.

The new bridge has been open to traffic again since the end of 2022, I was there on February 4, 2023. A couple who know the area told me this, the man noticed behind the bridge that he had no air left in his tire, but luckily he had a spare tube with him.

The bridge will soon be passable again!

Along the small Tretschbach you first go downhill over three wooden bridges. At the top you have the familiar beech forest, Haimsen, woodruff and many other plants and animals. Further down it gets wetter due to the many seepage springs, here you walk on the boardwalk. Here you will find alluvial forest with alders, ash trees, ferns and many other plants and animals in the air, on the ground and in the Tretschbach. A beautiful valley in the Siebengebirge!

The Ahrbrücke has been gone since the flood disaster in 2021! No passing possible. A diversion is already approx. 500 mtr. Signposted beforehand and leads over the "Kölner Brücke" in Sinzig from / to Kripp and from there on along the Rhine. (As of October 2021)

At the moment there is no getting through here because of the flood disaster. Take the ferry around the place on the right bank of the Rhine in good time.
