The castle park was purchased by the municipality and laid out in its current form between 1982 and 1988.

It's particularly great to walk on in spring and summer when everything around is green. The planks swing up and down quite a bit when you walk on them.

In the heart of Gemmingen, between the castle courtyard and Wiesenstrasse, is the old stately castle park, which was acquired and renovated by the municipality of Gemmingen in the 1980s. The idea behind it was English gardening. The center of the site today is the castle park pond, which is fed by its own spring, the Murrbach, and mainly by an old pipe from the Losterbach spring. Adjacent to the northern bank is an octagonal wooden pavilion. There are various events, concerts, children's performances and also an open-air cinema. Every two years, the park festival takes place across the entire area, organized by Gemmingen and Stebbach clubs. Not far from the pavilion, on the edge of the path, you will come across a bronze group, the Gänseliesel. It was donated by a Gemmingen citizen. Once a month - usually on the first Sunday of the month from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. - the German Alpine Club, Eppingen district group, opens and manages the Ottilienberg tower.

Great boardwalk. It leads directly past the natural wetland biotope. There are some information signs along the way.

Very nice boardwalk. It is part of the forest feeling path. To the right and left of the route everything is natural. You can still find some information.

The DAV Eppingen local group's hiking hut is currently open on the first Sunday of every month, whatever the weather.

The boundary stones are mainly set up along the pear tree avenue - it used to be impressive even without the boundary stones and was a photo highlight when it was in bloom. With the wonderfully restored boundary stones and some new tree plantings, the avenue has been given a real upgrade. If you drive or hike further uphill, you will pass a great new viewing and resting point (indicated barrel). At the top of the former Leinburg you come to the "Bible Path" whose stations extend into the beautiful Kleingartach. In town (near the sports field) you will find the third path, the “Weiden nature trail” and the Weidenkirche.
