This is a place to take shelter from the rain; it's also the only option between Herbolzheim and Neudenau. It's now been beautified with fantastic pictures – it's a real eye-catcher!

The Hohe Kreuz is located at the intersection of the parish road between Großeicholzheim and Rittersbach, and Heidersbach and Schefflenz. Regular church services are held here.

This is a nice place for children in the summer (they are always playing in the water) and it is always nice and cool there. There is also a bench with a table to rest or take a short break to eat and drink

The shelter is clearly defaced with graffiti. There is currently no seating inside the hut and outside only the foundations of the benches remain. The seats are missing. Hopefully these will be reinstalled for the next hiking season.

The association "Großeicholzheim and its history" rebuilt this cross on July 1st, 2007 as part of an economic church service to remind people of the constant message of the cross. Church services are held here again and again.
