The Exelberg–Rosskopf trail connects the striking Exelberg with the quieter Rosskopf via narrow forest paths and tracks. Along the way, short climbs alternate with gentle descents, always accompanied by the dense atmosphere of the forest. It's ideal as a connecting section in a longer Vienna Woods loop for hikers, runners, and bikers.

This is the continuation of the new Root Trail 2.0. It starts from the trail behind the small hill after a few curves. While the trail is short, it also has some challenging sections that require some skill. And then there's the very steep final section, which demands even more skill, suspension travel, and courage... Given all that, you'll have a lot of fun here, too.

A beautiful section of the route, part of several official mountain bike trails. No technical issues, but a steady, gentle climb that becomes a bit steeper towards the end.

Forest road, more interesting in the upper third.

Great connecting path between Exelberg and Sophienalpe. The view from the Rosskopf is not spectacular, but always beautiful. Often with a view of the Schneeberg.

Nice flow trail, muddy in places.

The difficulty level is low and there is shelter almost the entire way, which means a welcome cooling downhill in mid-summer.
